Our Philosophy

We believe strongly that people who have been injured due to the carelessness of others deserve a chance to rebuild their lives. For this they need proper compensation. In the less serious cases proper compensation may be just a few weeks loss of wages, plus a little extra for the pain. In more serious cases a client's life may have been devastated, and our task will be to recover the very substantial amounts of money which will be needed to pay for a lifetime's care and support.

Nearly all claims for compensation start with attempts to persuade the guilty party's insurance company to make a reasonable offer. Very often we are successful at this stage, and many claims are promptly and amicably settled without ever having to go to court. However, on many occasions we have had to fight hard for justice in court following totally inadequate offers from insurance companies. In the past five years no less than six of our damages cases have been widely reported in the national and legal press. In 2004 a claim for damages following catastrophic injuries which we fought in front of a jury set a new record in the amount of compensation awarded. Every penny of this compensation was needed by our client so that he could enjoy a decent standard of living after his disastrous accident.

We work with such organisations as the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers to constantly review and improve the law.
